If someone in your houshold suffers from allergies, it is recommended you change the HiFlow HEPA and charcoal filters after every six vacuum bags. Otherwise the the filter st should be replaced every year or after using twelve vacuum bags, whichever comes first. Replacing the HiFlow HEPA exhaust filter: 1. Access the HiFlow HEPA filter by pressing down on the releae button located on top of the filter holder. 2. Remove the used filter and replace it with a new filter. NOTE: The HiFlow HEPA filter cannot be washed and reused. 3. Snap the filter holder back into place. Replacing the charcoal filter. 1. Open the front lid of your Synergy and locate the charcoal filter on the left side of the bag compartment. 2. Use the latch on the top to remove the charcoal filter holder. Remove and throw away the used filter. 3. Insert a new charcoal filter and snap the filter holder back into place.
